National Dance Week - NYC 2006 promises to be an extraordinary week celebrating Dance in our city from Friday April 21 through Sunday April 30, 2006.
Classes, Gala performances and dance films will be offered free and open to the public. We are very excited about NDW-NYC-2006 and look forward to making this year’s event a huge success!

Dance is prominent in the national consciousness today. Dancing with the Stars is highly successful on television. The film Mad Hot Ballroom reached a wide and appreciative audience, and Taking the Lead, starring Antonio Banderas and based on the true story of ballroom dance champion Pierre Dulaine, who fought to get a dance program included in the NYC public school system, will open in March, 2006.

There have also been many feature articles in the press focusing on the benefits of dance for health, relationships, etc. NDW-NYC 2006 will bring Dance to an audience eager to Dance.
