Founded by Arthur Mitchell and Karel Shook in 1969,
DANCE THEATRE of HARLEM (DTH) is a world-renowned
dance institution. The DTH School trains hundreds of
youngsters each year in classical ballet, and
thousands more are introduced to the arts by our
Dancing Through Barriers® program, a national and
international education initiative, using the arts to
ignite the mind. Under the direction of Keith
Saunders, the Dance Theatre of Harlem Ensemble is the
performance, education, and outreach arm of Dance

NYC BHANGRA CLUB started a year ago when founder/Choreographer Megha Kalia on a mission to promote Indian culture, decided to a break away from the clubbing scenes to actively promote Bhangra as a dance form in New York City.
Today, NYC Bhangra Club i.e. first of its kind comprises of over 160+ members and over 40 active performers from all over the globe: India, Latin AmericUSA and Europe. With recent performances at Waldorf Astoria ( SONY TV) , NYC City Hall and the United Nations, we have created a mark in NYC's International Dance culture scene.
Bhangra is Punjabi dance from India, traditionally performed during harvest festivals and weddings, characterized by the beating of a large, two-headed drum.
