Founding Partner of Dance
Space Center
Charles Wright has choreographed,
performed, and taught jazz dance master classes throughout the
United States, Canada, France, and Japan. He is a Founding Partner,
Director, and Teacher at Dance Space Center. Mr. Wright was
a member of the teaching staff at Jacobās Pillow Dance Festival
for over eleven years, assisting dance legend Bessie Schoenberg
in her Choreography Workshop, Co-Directing the Simonson Jazz
Project, the Horton Jazz Workshop and the Teacherās Workshop
with Bessie Schoenberg. An established choreographer, Mr. Wright
created and developed In the Company of Men, the acclaimed concert
of all male choreographers begun in 1993 under his artistic
direction. Mr. Wrightās choreography has also been seen at Jacobās
Pillow Dance Festival, North Carolina School for the Arts, The
Ballet Met, and Brooklyn Dance Theaterās Season at Alice Tully
Hall. |
